Aicinam Tevi ņemt dalību Vasaras skolā, kas notiks  no 2013.g. 15.augusta līdz 17.augustam, Stockholm School of Economics Rīgā (SSE Riga). Vasaras skolas tēma: pētnieciskā žurnālistika.  Piedalīsies lektori no Sarajevas, Merilendas, Tauntonas (UK), Rīgas, Mineapolises un Vašingtonas. Apskatītās tēmas Vasaras skolā būs, piemēram, alternatīvās metodes ziņu iegūšanai pētnieciskajā žurnālistikā, ziņu  iegūšana no nedrošiem avotiem, organizētā noziedzība sporta jomā, un citas, kas varēs lieti noderēt žurnālista ikdienas darbā. Programma tiek piedāvāta sadarbībā ar Anne-Marie/Gustaf Anders fondu, Philip Merrill žurnālistikas koledžu un Merilendas universitāti. Žurnālistiem no citām valstīm 14. augustā būs iespēja piedalīties ievadseminārā, par tēmu Baltijas valstu politika un ekonomika. Pieteikšanās  līdz 25. jūlijam.

RIGA SUMMER SCHOOL ON INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING
Aug 15th – 17th, 2013

Lecturers from Sarajevo, Maryland, Taunton (UK), Riga, Minneapolis, and Washington DC

Organised crime in sports, interviews with vulnerable sources, advanced research on the net, covering social issues, alternative methods of investigative reporting, and how to dig deeper with social tools –this and more will be part of the second Summer School in Riga.


The seminars and workshops will, for the most part, be one full day of focusing on each subject rather than on a variety of subjects. Our trademark is to go in-depth on selected topics. On the final day, participants will have an opportunity to listen to summaries of what has been taught in parallel seminars.

This programme is presented in cooperation with the Anne-Marie and Gustaf Ander Foundation and the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, USA.

Dates:
The Summer School will take place from Aug 15th – 17th 2013. Journalists from abroad have the opportunity to participate in a pre-seminar on Aug 14th on the politics and the economy in the Baltic States.

Location:
The Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga).

Fee and application:
Journalists from Baltic States can apply for tuition fee scholarship, provided by the Anne-Marie and Gustaf Ander Foundation. The scholarship covers participation and catering (accommodation not included). Application deadline- July 25th.
